About Laurie Jugan
Laurie Jugan is an independent consultant currently supporting the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology, a nonprofit located at Stennis Space Center. She assists companies in finding federal contracting and business opportunities in the region consistent with company capabilities. She serves as a liaison with local federal agencies, assessing commercially developed technologies for federal use and federally developed technologies for commercial use.
Laurie is a life member of the Marine Technology Society and an MTS Fellow. In her MTS roles, she has served as the Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary of the Gulf Coast Section, currently serving as Chair. She served as Deputy Co-Chair for OCEANS 2002, MTS Co-Chair for OCEANS 2009, and Exhibits/Patrons Chair for OCEANS 2020.
Laurie worked for 25 years in a small technology business serving in a variety of both technical and business roles. She is a retired Oceanographer and holds Master’s degrees in both Business Administration and Oceanography.
